Office Hours & Response Time
As a specialist manufacturing workshop, we focus on precision labor during standard business hours.
- Response Time: We aim to respond to all technical inquiries within 48 hours.
- Consultations: Initial consultations are handled via email. In-person meetings at the Hiroshima office are by appointment only.

Before You Contact the Studio
- Confidentiality & IP: In accordance with our [Terms of Service], all inquiries and specimen data are protected under strict confidentiality and IP protocols from the moment of first contact.
- Specimen Readiness: Custom display services are performed on specimens in their final, cleaned state. We do not provide chemical restoration, stabilization, or cleaning services.
- Process Privacy: To maintain the exclusivity of our craftsmanship, The Maker does not disclose proprietary manufacturing or “Cold-processing” techniques to external parties.
- Evidence Standard: Please be prepared to provide high-resolution photos and, if necessary, video of your specimen for initial Class assessment.
Submission Guidelines
To ensure your inquiry is handled efficiently, please include the following based on your request type:
1. For New Custom Projects
If you are contacting us for a new project (Mineral Bases, Invention Development, or Prototypes), please provide:
- Project Type: Clearly state if this is for a mineral specimen, a mechanical prototype, or a general invention.
- Technical Data: Attach any relevant measurements, CAD files (preferred formats:
.STEP,.IGES,.DXF), or clear reference photographs. - Material Requirements: Specify if you have particular requirements for the acrylic or hardware.
2. For Existing Orders (Status & Updates)
If you are checking the status of a project currently in production:
- Order Number: Please include your Order Number in the subject line.
- Production Slot: As per our terms, once an Order Number is issued, your project is secured in our production queue.
3. For Mineral Specimens
- Verification of Condition: Please confirm that the specimen is in its final cleaned state. We do not provide chemical restoration or cleaning services.
- Orientation Preferences: Include photos of the specimen’s preferred display angle to assist in the initial design phase.
4. For Technical School (OSE) Inquiries
