Manufacturing & Structural Integrity

  • Cracks & Fractures: We cover the replacement of any piece if a crack appears spontaneously (excluding damage caused by chemical crazing).
  • Warping: Our “Cold Processing” and mechanical standards are designed for stability. We cover any structural warping that occurs under normal display conditions.
  • Bonding & Supports: If a structural support comes loose, breaks, or bends under the intended weight of a specimen, it is fully covered for repair or replacement.
  • Corrosion Resistance: We guarantee that our products will remain free of rust. If rust appears on any integrated metal components, we will replace the unit.

Branding & Aesthetics

  • Lettering & Finish: We stand by the permanence of our branding, and want you to uphold yours. If any wording or paint breaks off or rubs off through normal handling, we will provide a replacement or restoration.
  • Refurbishment Services: If a piece has accumulated surface scratches that are easy to buff out, we offer a professional polishing service to restore the original clarity.
    • If the scratch can be felt, it is considered deep, and possibly requires resurfacing or complete replacement.

Long-Term Performance (10+ Years)

  • UV Resistance: We take material clarity seriously. If a product purchased more than 10 years ago shows significant yellowing, please contact us for a replacement.
  • (Mineral Bases only) This is a transferable warranty. Minerals move around from one dealer to another. It wouldnt be fair to the next owner if the previous only had it for a few days, would it?
    • To exercise the warranty, the current holder must provide the original Order Number(s) or Invoice(s).

The Human Element: Our Commitment Beyond the Sale

At INTRESTEIN, we understand that your collections are more than just inventory or hobbies—they are often a life’s work. We believe in supporting our community when it matters most.

  • Disaster Recovery Support: If your collection—including our bases—is lost or destroyed due to a natural disaster, war, or other catastrophic events, we want to help you rebuild.
  • Our Pledge: We will replace or match your previously purchased collection of bases free of charge to help you get back on your feet. (Sorry, this does not include the minerals.)
  • Conditions: These replacements are provided at our discretion based on the circumstances. Please contact us directly when you are ready to begin the recovery process so we can discuss the specifics of your situation.

Maintenance & Natural Wear (Not Covered)

  • Mineral-Induced Wear: Because minerals vary in hardness and sharp edges, physical wear or indentations on the acrylic surface caused by the specimen itself are considered natural usage and are not covered under the structural warranty. This includes scratches or knicks caused by placing the mineral. (Yes, we can tell).
  • Chemical Crazing: Damage caused by using unapproved cleaning agents (see our approved list here) that results in “crazing” (fine internal spider-web cracks) is not covered.


How to Request Service

To file a claim or request a refurbishment, please provide:

  1. Send an email to Support@intrestein.com
  2. Attach a clear photo and statement of the issue.
  3. The approximate date of purchase and order number if possible.
  4. The name of the Person or Business it was purchased by.
